During the Taiwan Creative Expo, TAICAA officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Malaysian character brand agency M&M Creations Holdings Sdn. Bhd.Under this partnership, both parties will act as local market consultants for each other, working together to promote licensing, publishing, animation, and more. They will also co-organize forums, business matchmaking events, and marketing campaigns to deepen Taiwan-Malaysia market ties and enhance the global visibility of original Taiwanese IPs, especially in the ASEAN region.

As part of this collaboration, M\&M has also signed licensing agreements with two popular Taiwanese original characters— BOUNC and I’m Mark, showcasing the strong commercial potential of Taiwanese IPs and laying a solid foundation for international expansion.

TAICAA aims to leverage strategic partnerships like this to connect local resources and help Taiwanese IPs build international networks and access broader markets. M&M stated that this is not only a key collaboration in the creative industries between Taiwan and Malaysia, but also an opportunity to bring Taiwanese IPs into more retail channels and enhance their presence globally.

The relationship between TAICAA and M&M has continued to grow since the launch of the first Taiwan IP EXPO 2025 in Sunway Pyramid, Malaysia. Moving forward, both sides will work closely to promote high-quality Taiwanese original content throughout Southeast Asia, allowing more people to discover and fall in love with Taiwan’s creative IPs.

At Popular Bookfair 2025, M&M Creations Holdings was officially announced as the Malaysian licensing agent for China’s collectible card brand KAYOU. A launch ceremony was held at the Popular Bookstore exhibition zone, witnessed by hundreds of guests and media, marking the official debut of KAYOU products in Malaysia.

In collaboration with Popular Bookstore, M&M Creations launched over 150 SKUs of merchandise featuring Malaysia’s top original IPs: Bichi MaoYuurei Neko Sama, and I Adopted a Cat. The exclusive products made their debut at Popular Bookfair 2025, drawing strong crowds. Deputy Minister of Communications, YB Teo Nie Ching, also attended to show her full support for local creators.

In collaboration with Taiwan TAICCA and TCBLA, M&M Creations hosted the first-ever Taiwan IP Expo Malaysia 2025 at Sunway Pyramid, featuring 10 of Taiwan’s most popular character IPs.The expo included both B2B licensing meetings and B2C public showcases, attracting hundreds of local businesses and fans alike. With support from SME Malaysia, MRA, and others, the event successfully elevated the presence of Taiwanese IPs in the Malaysian market.
